The mother of all books about The Beatles recordings. Every microphone, every amplifier, every switch and modification is detailed in over 500+ pages with oodles of photos and diagrams. Heavy going in places (so much so you are ‘advised’ by the authors to skip the parts which you find above and beyond the call of duty in terms of precise detail. I just look at the pretty pictures of mixing desks – that does it for me. ( )
